About
The Northern Ireland Public Sector Chairs' Forum is the membership body for Chairs and Non-Executive Directors of public bodies across Northern Ireland.
Our Purpose
The Public Sector Chairs’ Forum is a member-led, information sharing and networking resource for chairs of public bodies whose overarching purpose is to enhance leadership in Northern Ireland.
Our Vision
We aspire to be seen as the pre-eminent focal point for governance in the boardrooms of Northern Ireland’s public bodies.
Our ambition is to ensure that the Forum is relevant, outwardly focused and critically engaging; above all, we aim to make a difference by working collaboratively to improve public services.
Our Objectives
We seek to further the purpose of the Forum by pursuing the following objectives:
-
To provide a connected network of leaders inside as well as outside the Forum
-
To promote best governance practice and new leadership thinking in public bodies
-
To influence the public sector and wider environment on relevant governance and leadership matters
Chairpersons of public bodies in Northern Ireland who have come through a public appointments process are eligible to join the Forum. This includes bodies where the chairperson is elected by its membership.
While the chairperson will be the lead member, many of our events and publications are also open to other Non-Executive Directors and the wider organisation.
